Hard to find a daycare spot for child

Believe it or not, it's too hard to find daycare or home care spots for your children in Montreal. Most children must be in waiting lists at least 1-2 years. In some areas parent have to register public daycare before she is pregnant, that means one must search daycare even 2-3 years in advance. I don't know why there is a shortage of daycare here. I heard that finding daycare and homecares in Canada is very challenging, but I didn't think it's so serious.

"...
Do you have any spot/space available?
No, I'm sorry, It's fully booked.
Can I get on your waiting list?
...
By the way, How much do you charge per day?
Can I visit your daycare?
"

"Why there is a daycare shortage is because too many of these welfare moms are taking full-time spots, dropping their child off at daycare and sitting at home or working under the table , at least get an education, since the government is willing to pay for it.... "

"It is terrible to find a 7 dollar day care in Montreal.I am in need to find a 7 dollar a daycare and willing to go the distance. "

How to find a daycare

"Bottom line, weigh your options, get on those waiting lists as soon as you are pregnant!

Check the providers references, that means call them and visit the center a few times and at different times of the day. "

How to choose a daycare?

Get a Price Estimate
It is important to choose a quality and experienced daycare provider, but you also need one that you can afford.

Get Detailed Information on Experience
Are you willing to take the chance with your child? Most parents aren't.

Ask to See References

Examine Location
A good location is nice, but it is not as important as quality care, experience, and affordability.

Visit During Operating Hours
A visit to a daycare center or in-home daycare is recommended. It is best if you do so during normal business hours. Examine both adults and children. Make sure the environment is one you feel comfortable sending your child to.

First time to visit newborn baby

My wife and I visited a new mother who's my wife's colleague yesterday, she gave birth to a baby girl by natural birth on Tuesday. The newborn baby weighing 8LB (3.6 kg) is so cute. Both baby and mother are healthy and doing beautifully. Thanks god and god blesses them.
